About The Event
The 356 Porsche Registry Trustees are pleased to invite you to attend the 2024 West Coast Holiday, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche 356 Registry and the 70th Anniversary of the Speedster, to take place October 17 – 20 in Santa Barbara, California.
This multi-day event will incorporate mountain and ocean drives plus selected options to visit California wineries and a truly over the top collection of cars. For those who would like to join us a day or two early, the holiday will feature a few “early bird” events available exclusively for registrants. And don’t leave too early on Sunday, October 20, because you’ll miss the indoor swap meet!
The AAA Four Diamond Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is ideally situated on California’s Coast and steps away from pristine beaches. The 24-acre resort offers guest rooms and spacious suites, many with ocean views. We have secured a bloc of 150 rooms for the event. It is a perfect location for the headquarters of the 2024 West Coast Holiday. Hilton Honors loyalty club members can also earn or use points here. Upon completion of your registration, you'll receive an email confirmation with a special hotel registration link with reduced rates for this event .
To experience all the beauty and unique aspects of the Santa Barbara area, we have a variety of tours and drives scheduled for you during the West Coast Holiday. In addition, we are planning a few very special drives desingated as fundraising activities for Parkinson’s Disease research. We are still working out the details for all of the tours and will provide additional information closer to the actual event. So, stay tuned!
356 Concours
For the anticipated 356 Porsche Concours on Saturday, we have chosen a spectacular site overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Santa Barbara City College. We anticipate being able to accommodate up to 250 cars with easy access and plenty of parking for spectators. Gourmet coffee and food will be available for purchase or bring your own lunch and enjoy the cars and beautiful views. Not to be missed!
Swap Meet
The swap meet is planned as an indoor event on Sunday morning, similar to the yearly L.A. Toy and Literature show. We have reserved a large space at the Hilton and will have over 50 tables available for reservation by attendees and outside vendors and we're offering a discounted rate on tables for event registrants! Start collecting parts to bring and plan on bringing home some treasures. Details on reserving a table are available on this registration page.

As an alternative, we are now offering a registration option that excludes the Saturday night banquet and the goodie bag.
Show Plus Registration includes event fees, discounted event shirts, all Thursday and Friday events including the hosted reception, the Saturday Concours, afternoon tech sessions and the Sunday morning swap meet. With this registration, THERE IS NO GOODIE BAG and this registration EXCLUDES the Saturday night gala. All event-related merchandise items are available for pre-purchase with this registration.

We plan to have special fundraising drives which are extra-cost events and open to all. Details on these supplemental tours will be available at a later date.
Your registration fees and any merchandise purchases are FULLY REFUNDABLE up until September 1st, 2024. AFTER September 1st, WE REGRET WE CANNOT ISSUE A REFUND OF REGISTRATION FEES OR MERCHANDISE PURCHASES. We will publish a schedule for all registrants as soon as it is available. If we are unable to confirm your 356 Registry membership, we will request that you join the Registry before attending the event. If you are not yet a 356 Registry member we encourage you to join now. West Coast Holiday Event Activities
As our event draws near, we will email preliminary and updated agendas to all registrants. In the meantime, these are some of the activities we can announce at this time. Please be aware, this is a preliminary agenda and events are subject to change without notice.
Wednesday, October 16th. For those arriving early, join us for an informal evening social event in the Santa Barbara area between 6pm and 9pm. Still in the planning stage, details will be available at a later date for registered attendees. If you think you might arrive early, please let us know. This is for planning purposes only and we are not looking for a commitment.
Thursday, October 17th. If you plan to be in Santa Barbara before the event formally opens, we are planning an informal "early bird drive" on the morning of October 17th. Our early bird drive starts around 9am-ish from Montecito Coast Village and will give you a chance to see some of the beauty the area has to offer. Again, no commitment and more details will be available closer to the event.

On Thursday evening, we kickoff our Holiday with a Gala Reception in the Hilton outdoor courtyard overlooking the Pacific Ocean for all registrants and guests. Expect a few beautiful Porsche 356s center stage!
Friday, October 18th. We have a number of activities and drives planned for all registrants which will make for a full day. These include multiple area tour options which are still in the planning stage at this point. Look for more details in future emails.
Included in Friday's activities are drives to very special venues which are fundraisers for "Drive for the Cure - Parkinson's Disease". These "premium" drives will require pre-registration with payment. They will include food and a donation to the "Drive for the Cure". The details on these unique drives and other tours are are still being worked out and will be made available to all registrants before the event. Stay tuned for a followup email communications from us in the near future!
Saturday, October 19th. The traditional highlight of any West Coast Holiday is the Concours on Saturday morning. The location we have chosen for the Concours is a spectacular site with easy access overlooking the ocean at Santa Barbara City College. We will have room for about 250 cars on the grass, gourmet coffee and food available for purchase and plenty of room for spectator parking.
Saturday evening finds us gathered back at the Hilton Hotel for the Awards and Recognition Dinner, "Santa Barbara" style.

Sunday, October 19th. We are hosting an indoor swap meet at the Hilton Hotel in their large ballroom on Sunday morning, patterned after the L.A. Toy/Literature Meeting. We have over 50 tables available for reservation. Tables are available for $50 each ($47.50 + processing fees) for registrants. Tables will be $100 each for non-registrant vendors if they are available prior to the date of the swap meet). Reserve your swap meet table(s) using the field below- please indicate the number of tables you would like. (limit 2 tables per registration)
All Access registrants will receive an event shirt at check-in. (An event shirt is NOT included as part of the Show Plus registrant package). This is a high-quality short sleeve polo with the West Coast Holiday logo embroidered on the front. Event T-shirt
This heavyweight tee is knited of beefy ringspun cotton that's as soft as it is strong. It's constructed with double-needle stitching and a high-density stitch count for low-pill durability. Other details you'll appreciate are non-chafe, shoulder-to-shoulder taping for extra strong seams at the sleeves and the shape-holding, lay-flat crewneck that looks great on its own or under anything. With a full cut, these better-than-basic tees give you plenty of room to move. Men's sizing only and sizing is considered to be "true to size".
Our cost for the registration platform and credit card processing to incorporate the convenience of online registration and merchandise ordering for this event is about 4-5% of the fees collected (depending on the total amount). This will be an expensive event to organize, but we feel it's worth it. In order to keep the overall event fees as low as possible, we need to pass on these charges to participants at this year's West Coast Holiday. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
